Hi, I’m Gene.

The face behind Mohojo Werks

I’m the developer behind Mohojo Werks and Accumoo.

My career spans over 30 years as a software engineer, including 20 years as a full-stack developer and architect.

I’m currently employed by Alpha Omega, serving the Department of Homeland Security’s Global division as a Team Lead and Ruby on Rails full-stack developer.

I’m happily married and have two wonderful boys and two wonderful (and BIG) Maine Coon cats!

Made with people in mind.

I started Mohojo Werks to create software that people love and find useful. I care about the people using what I build, and about the details that make an app clear, easy to use, and dependable.

I enjoy collaborating, mentoring, and sharing what I learn. Thoughtful design, careful testing, and listening to others are all part of how I approach the work.

What I’m working on.

Here you’ll find my apps, help with using them, and notes from building them.
